Saturday night saw Glen Celtic Masters and some of the first team play a Charity Match with all proceeds going to the Westport Sea to Summit (John Giles Foundation) and Tuam Cancer Care. Coupled with the match light refreshments followed in Divilly's and further tickets were sold with a couple of prizes on the night for some lucky recipients including Ireland Match tickets supplied by Gerry Tully. The match was refereed by Martin Nolan and some faces from the first team were on display plus a number of guest players from Shiven Rovers and from Dunmore plus a few of the existing Masters squad and past squads. The match finished all square at 2-2 after 70 minutes and went to penalties with the Red Team winning. Many thanks to all the people who came out and played in the Charity match and who supported the causes on the night. Congratulations to Gerry Davis who completed the Sea2Summit a couple of weeks afterwards. A grand total of €360 was collected on the night for these very generous causes.
