Seniors win away to St Cuans Utd

St Cuans 1 Glen Celtic 3 - Celtic made it 4 away wins out of 4 today with a good performance away to St Cuans. Celtic started brightly and took the lead when Sean Gallagher crossed from the left and Pj Shanks hit an unstoppable volley past the keeper with a great strike. Celtic concentration lapsed however and they let St Cuans back into it when a long ball over the top was latched onto by the St Cuans number 9 who despite the best efforts of Seamus Comermanaged to score the equaliser. Both teams created chances with Celtic unlucky with a couple of efforts. Halt time score was 1-1. Celtic took the lead five minutes into the second half when Sean Gallagher again crossed from the left and once again found Pj Shanks who finished from close range. The third followed shortly afterwards when once again a cross from the left by Sean Gallagher eluded the keeper and ended up in the net. With St Cuans looking to get back into the game it left opportunities for Celtic to extend their lead and they were unlucky with Ryan McHugh and Steven Fox both hitting the frame of the goal. Coupled with some great defending Celtic held out for deserved win.
