Seniors had another good win on the road this morning with convincing win against Ballymoe. Celtic started well and took the lead when MIchael Heneghan controlled a poor kick out from Ballymoe and slotted the ball home. Celtic continued to press but missed a couple of chances and were punished when Ballymoe against the run of play equalised. Celtic continued to press and were awarded a penalty which was missed. Celtic continued to look for the lead and were back in front when Michael Heneghan scored his second. Once again Celtic allowed Ballymoe back into the match and they equalised once more. The remainder of the half though belonged to Celtic with Jason Connelly scoring two goals with assists from PJ Shanks and Ryan McHugh. Michael Heneghan then finished his hatrick with a good goal from outside the box despite the attention of a number of Ballymoe defenders.
Celtic started the second half slowly and allowed Ballymoe to score at third goal. Then from a through ball Kay Sarpong slotted home past the Celtic keeper. Celtic continued to impress and scored a 7th when Ryan McHugh cut in from the left and hit a great strike into the top corner from just outside the box. Final goal was scored by Jason Connelly to complete his hatrick with a back heeled assist from Ryan McHugh. Finished 8-3 with Celtic deservedly getting the 3 points.
